Blake Snell Turns Down Yankees Offer

Blake Snell Turns Down Yankees Offer

Former Cy Young Winner Still Available

MLB Star Weighing Options

Earlier in the offseason, the New York Yankees made an offer to two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell. However, Snell declined the deal and is still available on the free agent market.

Snell was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round of the 2011 draft. He made his MLB debut in 2016 and quickly established himself as one of the best young pitchers in the league.

In 2018, Snell won the American League Cy Young Award after going 21-5 with a 1.89 ERA. He followed that up with another strong season in 2019, going 11-8 with a 3.24 ERA.

Snell is now 29 years old and is looking for a new contract. The Yankees were reportedly offering him a three-year, $60 million deal, but he turned it down.

It is unclear what Snell is looking for in a new contract, but it is clear that he is not in a hurry to sign. He is still one of the best pitchers in the league and should have no problem finding a new team.
