Ada Nicodemou Reflects on Two Decades in Summer Bay

Home and Away was meant to be six months.

Ada Nicodemou has been a Home and Away staple since first debuting back in 2000 as the eternally troubled character.

Home or in this case Home and Away definitely seems to be where the heart is.

Nicodemou has celebrated her 20th year on the beloved soap, reflecting on her journey and revealing that she never imagined her time in Summer Bay would last this long.

In an interview with TV WEEK, she said, "I remember being told that my character was meant to be there for six months, and I was like, 'Oh great, that's a nice little acting gig'."

"But then I got to know Leah and I fell in love with her, so I was very happy that it wasn't just six months."
"I'm very grateful that I've been able to play this character for so long and that the audience has stuck with me."
"It's been an incredible journey, and I'm excited to see what the next 20 years holds."
